Skippys Pizza @ Damansara Uptown

*This is a Non-Halal Food Post!*

This comic script is to tell you, that there's a parking slot reserved in front of Skippys Pizza for their customers.

Hence, it saves you lots of hassle trying to look for one.

Anyway, back to the main topic -- Food Review with Skippys Pizza!

Despite staying near to Damansara Uptown, this is my first time heard about Skippys Pizza. Must be staying at home too much lately not realizing the existing of this restaurant.

Do take note of this signboard just in case you're looking for a parking.

The overall interior designed to give the customer a pub feel. However, to my surprise it isn't too dark and too noisy. I reckon here a good place for working adult to come in and have a glass of beer to relax after their work, or maybe you want to hangover right here? With its chillax smoothing environment created around, I presume a potential good chit-chat place with their peers?

They have this bar corner with a gigantic WIFI Password printed on top of the roof. You can also enjoy watching the latest football match over here.

Speaking of interior, there's one thing that caught my attention:

Kangaroos pictures on the wall!

Kangaroos Icon!

It's not too hard to guess their main icon here -- Kangaroos.

But why?

No wonder I got the feel of being an Aussie here, just for a moment.

This is Fay, co-owner of Skippys Pizza.

As a chef by herself, it amazes me to know that she co-ordinates all the foods in Skippys Pizza! Not only that, on some occasion Skippys Pizza does catering for parties and big functions right here, and she oversees them all!

Talking about superwoman, I'm in awe of her ability to multi-tasking as a Chef.

Enough of some brief introduction. Here's the food being served:

#1 Pork Ribs in 7 Sauces (10 pcs) - RM 25

Not sure what kind of sauce they used here.. I reckon is BBQ? Nevertheless, the pork ribs were cooked so well I don't have the hard time to chew it. Taking it together with a glass of beer on your other hand, how wonderful life can be? *dreaming*

#2 Pulled Pork with Currywurst Sauce - RM 17.50

What I can taste is a pulled pork mixed around with mayonase and chilli sauce (pardon my taste). However, the combination of this pulled pork and sauces makes the fries taste...WOW! Not a normal kind of bar snack you would get elsewhere.

#3 Crispy Fried Pork - RM 16

My favourite among all!! Crispy, tender pork knuckles, couldn't ask for more! (Or maybe with a glass of another beer? LOL)

#4 Cheesy Meatballs with Spaghetti - Tomato based sauce ( Spicy / Non Spicy) - RM 19.90

I love how bouncy the pasta turns out to be. Despite not being a tomato-sauce fans, its pasta and well-cooked meatball deserves my recommendation.

#5 Cheesy Lamb Meatballs with Spaghetti - RM 25.90

My favourite among all. You couldn't say NO to those lamb meatballs, pasta and sauces. Simply heavenly for pasta lover like me!

Yeah, even baby faith loves it!

#6 Ultimate Hawaiian - RM 28.90 (9"), RM 35.90 (12")

Consists of Pulled Pork, Sausage, Bacon and Pineapples. I love how thin and crispy its crush over the Pizza Hut's. Besides, it's full of cheese you may have hard time to chew it into two. I overheard the owner saying that Datin Nicole David (Malaysian Squad Player) love her Ultimate Hawaiian!

#7 Oriental - RM 26 (9"), RM 32 (12")

They have spicy version of pizza, too! Made up together with chinese sausage and chilli, this is for people who prefers a spicy taste to accommodate their heavy taste bud.

#8 Pork Knuckles with Fried Potatoes and Salad - RM 70

Don't be taken away by its price. You may have tried all sorts of knuckles elsewhere but this is something you ought to give it a try in Skippys Pizza. Usually the knuckles being served are fried and dry up, however, you can get a mixture of potatoes and their secret sauce to have the best knuckles in town! I'd recommended this to share among a group of people.

#9 Skippys' Glutton Por Burger with Bacon, Egg and Mushrooms - RM 24.50

Never thought how simple this burger could turn out so well! Crispy bacon pair up with juicy eggs, vege and not having soggy friends here, burger fans, this is something you ought not to be missed!

#10 Goulash - RM 12

A bowl of hot and spicy soup to compromise your heavy meal aftermath. Definitely lifted up your taste bud (heavy, in case you have it) and also giving your stomach a smoothing effect!

#11 Chilli Mussels - RM 30

If that's not spicier, try this! Tyma is sure going to love this! #spicinessoverdose

For the two above mentioned soups, it goes well with these Garlic / Cheese Buns.

#12 Skippys' Salad with Sundried Tomatoes, Olivers, Anchovies and Bacon - RM 19.50

They have salad options available, for people who doesn't want to take meaty meal or enough of meat. This is the one I'd reccomended simply because I just can't get over their bacons. LOL.

Most of the food in Skippys Pizza, especially their pizzas has its Australia flavour in it so you probably will feel Aussie when you're here. Never tried an Aussie Pizza before? Allow Skippys Pizza fulfill such experience for you!
