I'm sure you'd the same thought as I, when you first saw this:

After you walk inside, the Cafe is just right inside.

A boutique cafe combi, interesting huh?

And so, my food review today will be a combination of fashion and food, which is hard because you're giving this comic blogger, who has a zero taste of fashion style, a chance to talk about fashion lolol. I hope I don't screw big time, though.

Meesha Sukira has been quite awhile in Malaysia that produces glamorous ‘Batik’ fashion. Cloth, patterns, handcraft, details and dedication are vital to yields premium ‘Batik’ traditions. In 2013 M Café has been introduced by 2 owner which also the one who manage the Batik boutique. At the early stage they only focus on manufacturer designing ‘Batik’ in Batu Cave.

It took awhile to establish Meesha Sukira and now the owners have decided to diversify the business and venturing into F&B by merging Batik boutique with a cafe. In this digital era it is hardly to find a premium and authentic design Batik around due to lack of awareness and also being presume by most of the youth about the old fashion design ‘Batik’ are only suits the older generation. One of the main reason they wanted to run a café and boutique together because food is the best way to promote a culture. They would like to create awareness and letting people especially the young people these days to experience in-depth about Malaysia’s culture through their local cuisine and ‘Batik’

M Cafe is named because M stands for many positive words like motivation, magnificent or mastery. Both the owner faces some struggle running a café earlier because their first experience in F&B however it turn up well initially as many young crowd are their regulars and new customers. From time to time the whole team has been doing a great job creating the best ambience for customers to enjoy their local cuisine as well as keeping the ‘Batik’ culture alive here. They take feedback very sincerely to strive in making their food better.

As you can see from the photo above, they are selling batik in front of the cafe. Basically the batiks were spread out all over the cafe, till to the second floor.

With much curiosity, we decided to explore upstair,

And found more batiks!

There is a way to lead to this room, where I believe ladies could style their batiks.

They even have fab shoes!!

Not to forget they do sell guys' stuff :)

Another room.

After done with our cafe exploration, it's time for food tasting!

#1 Sambal Fish Salad (Starter)

Put all the ingredient inside the cabbage, dip with its curry and off you go!
Taste verdict? Their fish is SO GOOD! Their curry has a very great flavour! All flavours that presented in this plate are well-balanced. I would say, at this point M Cafe had gave us a very good kick start for our food tasting!

#2 Fried Chicken Salted Egg - RM 13.90

Indulge yourself with fried chicken salted egg and rice (sambal as optional), my kind of heaven!

#3 Hainanese Chicken Chop - Rm 15.90

Personally I think their chicken chop is no different with other restaurant but they have a very crispy chips! *Crisp* *Crisp*

#4 Nasi Lemak Crispy Fried Chicken - RM 15.90

NO Malaysian would ever reject this! Where can you get such a big fried chicken over a plate of nasi lemak?!? And not to mention, delicious and full of aromatic flavour?

#5 Mee Celup

Love their chewy beef. It does reminds me of a dish brought all the way from countryside.

#6 Nyonya Curry Laksa

Penang's version of Asam Laksa. According to the owner, this has been modified based on different kinds of recipe by the asam laksa (housewife) experts!

#7 Chocolate Lava - RM 12.90

Who would not say NO to chocolate lava as dessert? Especially it has ice-cream with it? lolol.
As usual, the chocolate lava was warm while they served to us.

The owner was sweet enough to serve us with strawberry flavour, which caught my heart instantly!

M Cafe by Meesha Sukira is not just another Cafe. It combines with batiks and food, aiming to introduce Nyonya culture to the public. While enjoying their nyonya style food in this cafe, how about giving yourself a chance to appreciate the beauty of batiks with them?

  15. Nice to see the revamp of M Cafe, the first time M Cafe became famous in the 90s was because it's a girly bar. HAHA. Will be a surprise if I let some of my friends know that M Cafe has reappeared again after our last raid of the place, this time, as a proper cafe.
