Yes I was being told that their beers are very good.
So to those beer peers out there, maybe you want to consider Izakaya Kushi Raku?
So what's Izakaya Kushi Raku?
It's a Restaurant Grill & Bar focusing on Japanese way. The owner got the idea from the Japanese where they tend to gather around and have some cup of beer & enjoying tidbits after work.
The bar opens at 4pm - 1am (close on Sunday) to cater for the after-work-entertainment seeker. As I stepped into this bar, I was so excited to see the concept and look are more like Japan that kind of feel. I'm all for Japan, you know.
Look at those beers up there. Are you daring enough?
Those are beers that well kept for years.
Got my seat and found this lovely card made by Food Inker - Stella. How thoughtful she is!
Despite I'm all for everything about Japan, I'm not a beer fan. A cup of tea will just do good for me :)
It became my essential of the day as I ate quite some skewered dishes.
All set for waiting the food to arrive!
The kitchen.
Chef of the day grilling our chicken~ :D
And behold, the long-awaiting moment has come to an end! (Namely food has arrived)
Appetizer
Chuka Sazae Niu (Snail Meat) – RM9
Quite salty, but I just love how chewy the snail meat is.
Eihire (Skate Fin) – RM10
Feel like eating a bigger version of ikan billis but it's good!
Chicken Wings (Salt) – RM7 per stick
So excited to know they serve chicken wing today in skewered dish form and yes, it was yummy!! #juicy #tender #nevermindtheburnpart
Pork Meat Ball – RM6 per stick
I prefer a bigger one, but this is not bad either.

Cherry Tomato – RM4 per stick
Never knew that cherry tomato sizzling with salt on top of it + grilled can be delicious!
And it's cheapest among all skewered dishes!

Pork Belly (Sauce) – RM6 per stick
This is the highlight of the dish! Not only juicy and tender, how could you say NO to those fats?!?!
Bacon Wrap Rice – RM6 per stick
Not up to my liking but my friend loves it! It was less salty as compared to others.
Beef Ribeye (Salt) – RM11 per stick
Juicy and chewy, albeit a little hard maybe its a beef? And less salty than I expected.

Clear Soup Udon – RM12
The udons were less bouncy and soup taste doesn't have the strong feeling taste. Even so, I manage to finish it all. That just show how I love Udons.

Ebi Tempura – RM22
Not too oily, prawns cook well and crispy batter. Just the kind of tempura I'm looking for.
Make sure you dip with that sauce to experience the maximum enjoyment of your tempura!

There's a famous saying: never judge a book by its cover.
So this is the owner of Kushi Raku - Mr Ken.
At young age 31 he already own two cafes (including Kushi Raku)! The idea of opening Izakaya Kushi Raku is all because of his love for beer and hangover. He visions that his customers would have a place to hangover with their peers, after a tiring day at work, just like how the Japanese did.
His chef, whom he just hired recently, work together with him to come out a menu that closely resembled what he'd in mind. With his chef's 4 years experience at Rakuzen, they made a tremendous improvement in their menu. And that's how they think it's time to promote Kushi Raku to the public.
Since the food inker were so promotive towards their beer / sake, I'd ordered one to try it for myself.
It tastes uhm... very Japanese? Paiseh lah this girl doesn't know how to appreciate sake. @_@
To sum things up, if you are looking for a place where you could relax, chill, hangover after a tiring day at work, come to Izakaya Kushi Raku to experience how to hangover like the Japanese!
